Chile’s National Day: "Fiesta de la Tirana."


Fiesta de la Tirana is a religion party celebrated annually in the town of “La Tirana” in the region of “Tarapacá”, Chile.
This party is celebrated every July 16th in honor of “Virgen Del Carmen” and it lasts one weak.
This is one of the most religion parties of the north of Chile and every year arrives 250.000 people to this town.
And its origin began in 1535 with Diego de Almagro on their way by the discovery of Chile.
And during the festivity we can find Chilean food like pastel de choclo, humitas, papas de huancaina and you can find too food with a great taste, and nationality drinks like chicha, wine, agua ardiente, pipeño, terremoto, borgoño, ponche of typical fruits and empanadas.
And when you are there you can see the parade and you can see the “Virgen Del Carmen” and the beautiful cloth that the dancers wear with the mask that represent different types of spirits.
In this celebration we can find a lot of entertaining like dancing performance and the typical song that everyone sings with all their heart.
